Our cognitive health research focuses on developing an automated evaluation platform to screen and monitor cognitive health remotely. We leverage non-intrusive spoken-language biomarkers to analyze short conversational recordings for early detection of subtle cognitive changes and timely alerts between clinic visits.
AI Language Analysis
We utilize AI to extract millisecond-level speech events and longitudinal language features from conversational recordings. This continuous, individualized data enables objective reports that support clinicians and caregivers in managing cognitive health.
Cross-Cultural Adaptation
Our approach combines rigorous linguistic and clinical methods with fit-for-purpose deep learning, designed for cross-cultural adaptation in Hong Kong. Aligned with WHO priorities on dementia as a public health concern, our research aims to deliver practical, privacy-respecting tools that empower older adults, families, and health professionals.
